Only problem is you only have so much space for "CasH" per account so hoarding a buttload of ectos isn't going to do you any good when the price goes up because you won't have the space to put cash in after a certain amount. I guess you could throw them into those new bags from zcoins until all your characters are full with 20 slot bags and then what? There's just not enough stuff in this game for the wealth that people can/have accumulated. Because there's no evolving powerful items out there eventually there's nothing left to buy worth buying.

who says you have to sell the ecto for gold? you can keep them and use the ecto as a currency for trading. where i paid 23 ecto for a 100k item i now pay 20 ecto.

and i buy runs with ecto, cons with ecto, i kinda buy everything with ecto, as it is an accepted currency and noone minds if you pay with them.

That's more or less what I said Cracko but things are so easy to get that you don't even really need ectos anymore for anything except the most high end stuff. Paying for runs is kewl, but, I don't think most people cheat like that, I know I don't I bought the game to play not run through the content or have someone else play the game for me.

Appearing like a self-righteous elitist isn't exactly making your advice look very appealing to me. Y'see, I post on 4chan, where we're not concerned with coddling people with "diplomacy" and we speak like we would in ordinary every day dealings. This gets a little harsh for folks like you who want everything moderated and censored.

On-topic: Personally, I'm hoping ecto prices go down eventually, since I want to continue buying them later.

If you speak to people like this in every day dealings then I feel sorry for the people around you. And I'm not saying let's cover everything in cotton wool, simply that putting your opinions across in a troll-ish manner is immediately assigning them with negative connotation.

I honestly find it difficult to imagine that you can't see what a detriment this kind of behaviour has on an anonymous online discussion, so I figure you just like the reaction to rub up against.

I guess that's the 4Chan way?

I know your avatar kind of gives it away, but I wouldn't admit to that. Posting on 4chan is just embarassing now.

But on your main rant, I totally agree. Taste > Money, although there is a certain prestige that comes with having the money to afford FoW.

See, the problem is that while amounts of money are objective, taste is fully subjective. Therefore there is no > involved.

The rant that Mr 4chan made was simply a "I'm better than all these people because I like better thingsr" assertion, it had nothing valuable attached to it.
